Why do you do this?
It’s fun, it’s free, it’s relaxing and it’s for a good cause. It’s nice to have a family activity together. We are all working towards a common purpose, which is not something that we do that often in our normal lives.

How much have you raised?
So far we have raised just over £3,900

Where does the money go?
It all goes to the RNLI. We hand it in to the staff in the Lyme Regis RNLI shop before we go home each year. All of it.

How about your costs?
We don’t take anything for the paints. The stones are off the beach. Russell pays for the gin.

Do you do this anywhere else?
Not at the moment. But we do have our own beach hut in Sussex, so we might do some there this year to try and raise some money for our local lifeboat station.

What paints do you use?
We use acrylic paints. We’ve tried lots of different types over the years, but acrylics are by far the best. We buy most of our paint in Rainbow Stores.

Can I donate online?
Great idea! But sadly not yet. We might get round to that in due course.  But you can support the RNLI via their website at https://rnli.org/
