RNLI

The RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea.

The RNLI provide, on call, a 24-hour lifeboat search and rescue service around the UK and Ireland, and a seasonal lifeguard service.

There are 237 lifeboat stations around the UK and Ireland, and RNLI lifeguards patrol over 200 beaches each summer.

Each year it costs over £140M to run the lifesaving service. For every £1 donated, 83p goes to the rescue service, and 17p is reinvested to generate more funds.

Unbelievably, the RNLI receive no public money!

It costs around £385,000 a day to run the RNLI, all of which is generously donated by the public. We are pleased to make our small contribution.

Final 2017 Total: £175.00

Unfortunately, it’s the end of our holiday in Lyme Regis.

The weather hasn’t been great this year but we have still managed to raise a total of £175 from painting our pebbles.

Many thanks everyone. We might see you again later in the summer.
